Location Highlights
Detroit offers access to major waterfront and cultural destinations. The Detroit RiverWalk stretches more than 3 miles along the riverfront, and Belle Isle Park, a 982-acre island park, sits about 4 miles from downtown. Midtown includes the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Detroit Historical Museum, and the area is about 10 minutes from the downtown entertainment district. Comerica Park and Ford Field are both located downtown, and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport is about 20 miles from the city center. For outdoor access beyond the city, Sterling State Park on Lake Erie is about 40 miles south, and Ann Arbor is about 45 miles west.
