The Personal Trainer will guide clients through their fitness journey with personalized attention and programming. Work with members to create individualized plans for achieving their fitness goals, while remaining safe and injury free, lead clients through exercise routines while offering words of encouragement during training sessions. You are expected to work on your existing client list as it grows of personal training by demonstrating the following qualities:Professional and personableAttentive and dedicatedEffective problem-solving skillsEssential Functions & ResponsibilitiesAssume the responsibility of training members who are interested in working one-on-one with a fitness professionalProvide members with safe, results-oriented programming that matches their goals and fitness levelConduct new member orientation pre-exercise biometrics and goal evaluationsTalk to members of the club about their goals and introduce them to our personal training programmingAdvise members about important safety concerns and demonstrate exercises and proper formEnsure client renewal through focused, positive, supportive coaching, follow up and programmingKeep accurate and detailed records of program progressMaintain a minimum of 12 client hours weeklyEducate members about the benefits of personal trainingCreate customized workouts for clients while ensuring a safe and injury-free experience for all clients and membersGuide clients through their fitness journey with personalized attention and programmingSeek constant development as a fitness professionalDemonstrate strong time-management skills while servicing sessions jam-packed with valueSuccess FactorsPossess the competencies for providing quality sessions to include fluency in programming, accountability and results while keeping organized client filesPossess high levels of professionalism and integrity when working with personal training clients, peers and superiorsDemonstrates Defined Fitness core values and the 4 D's; drive and development core values to stay current with personal training information and continuing education to provide the highest quality personal training sessions to clientQualificationsValid nationally recognized Personal Training Certification from accredited agency (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NCSF, NCCPT, NESTA, NETA, NFPT, IFPA, PTA Global, ISSA) and maintain throughout employmentBachelor's degree in a health, fitness or a related field preferredMinimum of two (2) years' experience in personal training or group fitness instruction preferredAbility to perform and/or demonstrate exercises and movementsExperience working in the sales industry preferredDetail-oriented with the ability to demonstrate high-quality of serviceSelf-driven and competitive with the ability to work effectively as part of a teamPC literate, including Microsoft Office and various other products such as ABCValid CPR/AED certification, infant and child, by first day of employment and maintain throughout employmentProficient verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsPhysical RequirementsMust be able to stand and/or walk for up to eight (8) hours at a timeMust be able to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds.Must be able to perform the following tasks: walk, squat, bend, stoop, stand, listen, read, and writeBenefitsPaid Sick LeaveGym Membership (full access to our gym facilities at no cost to team members)Staff Pass Memberships (complementary memberships for family & friends)Pet InsuranceThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties that will be performed by the team member occupying this position.
